Clash of the Titans!

Synopsis: "The Clash of the Titans" is set in the Greek city of Argos where a war is about to explode between man and the gods. Persesus (Sam Worthington) raised as a fisherman, but is actually a demi-god. Persesus is the bastard son of Zeus (Liam Neeson) who is about to take on the gods after the death of his family. Zeus' brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) was the one who kill his family, and Persesus wants to kill him. However, it is Persesus' destiny to rescue the city of Argos from the ruthless rage of Hades and his Kraken monster. With nothing to lose, Persesus leads a band of soldiers on a quest to defeat the Kraken. In doing this, Persesus will prevent Hades from overthrowing Zeus and in turn destroying mankind.

My Review: So I recently saw the original Clash of the Titans.  It was possibly the most horrible cheesy movie I have ever seen.  Claytronics and the whole shibang.  Plus bad acting.  Practically any remake they did would have been ten times better.  I have to say though, that I was greatly immpressed with this movie.  The beginning set up the story beautifully.  The graphics were amazing and I was impressed that they actually built a lot of the set themselves and didn't rely so much on digital animation.  Sam Worthington does an amazing job as Perseus.  And well frankly I just like to look at him.  I absolutely adored the way they portrayed Hades.  The whole fire and brimstone motiff was really cool as well.  I loved the way the Harpies came out of his cape of fire and ash.  I'm not a huge fan of Liam Neeson, but I actually liked him as Zeus.  Even though Zeus is the biggest man whore in existence.  Andromeda was the selfless martyr as per usual, so I was glad they introduced Io.  While I have no idea where she kept pulling all of her clothes from, I liked her kick ass way of dealing with giant scorpians.  :D  I enjoyed the sublte romantic subplot as well, but they didn't over do it which I'm immensely glad for.  "Calm your storm," however is my new favorite line, ever.  If you've seen it you'll know what I mean.  Absolutely laugh out loud hilarious!  I wouldn't say it was the best thing in the whole movie, but it was pretty darn close.  The action was amazing, the fight scenes incredible, and overall just a great movie.  I love Greek mythology so I was geeking out the whole time.  I have no idea how the experience is in 3-D but just normal old viewing is still worth it.   Definitely a must see. :D
